MAKE A FACE COLOUR & COLLAGE CARDS TEACHERS NOTES ABOUT THIS KIT. The cards feature three different face shapes; round, oval and square. The children can be encouraged to look in a mirror and to look at each others faces to compare shapes. Similarities can be discussed. Eg: we all have two ears, a nose and mouth but shape and sizes vary. People have different colour eyes and skin tones. Then, what about expressionsâ‚¬Â¦.how do we look happy, surprised, angry or sad? BEFORE YOU START. You will need scissors, good quality p.v.a. and colouring materials. Crayons, paint, felt pens and coloured pencils are all suitable. HOW TO USE THIS KIT. Following discussion children can select a card and colour it in. The collage materials can then be glued in place. COLLAGE IDEAS. TISSUE could be scrunched up to make a nose or cut into strips for hair. FURRY CORD makes great hair. It could be threaded with beads or tied in bunches with wool. It could also be used to make a mouth or bushy eyebrows. FEATHERS could be trimmed to make fluffy decorations. MATCHSTICKS make great eyebrows, mouths and spiky hair doâ‚¬â„¢s. WOOL could be used as hair or threaded with beads to make a necklace. BEADS could be glued in place for eyes, a nose or as earrings. WIRED CHENILLE makes great mouths and hair. It could be wound round a pencil to make curls. SEQUIN MESH is brilliant for adding a little bit of sparkle just about anywhere.
